The school and church that we finished building in the fall of 2000 had the care and responsibility for 64 orphans from the community. In 2001, we decided to construct an orphanage to house and feed these children. In a six week period from March - April 27th, 2002, approximately 70 men, women and students from the Hamilton area, as well as from other areas in Ontario, travelled to Haiti to assist in the construction of the orphanage, the painting and finishing of the Church/School and in teaching English to the young students of this very poor community.
