Bringing Joy & Hope To Children In Haiti
With the prevalence of poverty, sickness and hunger, orphans are common in Haiti. This is especially the case in Fougerole - the slum
area in the northern city of Cap Haitien. However, through the efforts of OMS and by the vision of Pastor Emmanual Eugene
(Pastor Mano) which continues in the care of the Fougerole church and his family, there now is joy and hope in the hearts of some
of these children.
Pastor Mano, was himself an orphan from the streets of Cap Haitien, is working with OMS to provide a care and education program for many of the orphan children of Fougerole. People from Fergus, Ontario have committed to meeting the primary needs of a nutritious lunch and education for these orphans through a charitable organisation called H.E.A.R.T.S.
But we need you to partner with us to provide the funds necessary for their ongoing daily care. To date we have financial commitments from 51 individuals that will provide for three quarters of the 64 orphans at the orphanage. Although we are three quarters of the way there our dream is to provide for each and every one of those precious children and this is where you can help.

What Your Gift Provides
For only $300 Canadian per year (which equates to $25 per month), you can literally change the future for a child. Your support will
provide two other meals per day, clothing, medical and dental care, nurturing, and a safe environment.
How This Program Is Different
The Fougerole orphanage can house 64 children at one time, however, the specific children can change in the course of a year. Why,
you might ask? Sadly, one reason is that some children succumb to pre-existing illnesses and diseases. The second reason though, is
that the orphanage staff take every opportunity to place the children with extended family members. So to provide continuity in the
overall support of the orphanage, your investment of $300 will be directed towards providing for one of those 64 spaces. This way, you
may be impacting the lives of many children during the year.
Here's What You'll Receive
In addition to the satisfaction that you will enjoy from helping orphan children in Haiti, you will receive two newsletters per year
which will bring you up-to-date on the Fougerole orphanage.
The entire amount of your gift is also deductible as a charitable donation for income tax purposes. You will receive an income tax receipt from OMS International.

Accountability
Integrity and accountability are critical to this orphan care program. Your gift of support will be managed on the field by a
full-time self-supported staff person with OMS International. OMS will monitor the disbursements of funds to ensure that your
generous gift is used specifically for the care of the orphan children.
No Administrative Costs
OMS International believes in putting your donation directly to work. OMS is not charging us any administration fees which means that
a 100% of your support goes directly to where it is needed most: to the orphan children in Fougerole.
